Abstract
The effects of acid rain on the degradation of delustered Nylon 66 fabric were studied. Degradation was evaluated in terms of changes in breaking strength and molecular weight, and calculated from viscosity and amine end-group concentration using the ninhydrin method. Repetitive or constant exposure of nylon to acid rain conditions will cause both chemical and physical damage. -- AATA
