The restoration of the marble floor of the hallway of Ca'pesaro in Venice is examined. The floor consists of a geometric pattern comprised of Verona red and Istrian White stone, and is submerged and damaged in several areas. Small samples of floor marble have been analyzed chemically and microhardness tests performed. Based on these results, an epoxide mortar was used to restore cracks and failures in the floor with generally good results.
