The author, invited member of the Chemical Group of the 2nd International Symposium for the Restoration of Objects on Acropolis-Parthenon, which was held in Athens, September 12-14, 1983, describes, mainly from the point of view of stone corrosion and conservation, the conclusions that were accepted in the twelve-stage program for the restoration of the Parthenon.
