Abstract
The historical background of the St. Wenceslas Crown is briefly presented. In 1966, an exact replica of the coronation jewels was made by a group of artisans at the Turnov Vocational School of Applied Arts for Metal Working. A petrological study of the gems was carried out in 1980; provenance was determined for a number of the stones. The replicated jewels, however, are almost indistinguishable from the original in respect to the characteristic bores. -- AATA
