Abstract
Addresses the problems posed by a piece of monumental sculpture, in the Art Museum, Indiana University, Bloomington, a limestone Head ofa king, which has been detached from its original context: authentication, and association with a particular time period and cultural background. It is argued that it was carved in the early 14th century in a workshop in the vicinity of Paris. -- AATA
