Abstract
It is aimed to progress the healing characteristics and to increase the effectiveness and functions of the pressure garments to burn scar treatments by providing infection protection. In this study, 70 / 30 Nylon 6.6 / Spandex warp knitted fabrics in powernet and flat warp knitted structures and 75 / 25 Nylon 6.6 / Spandex weft knitted fabric used for burn pressure garments were treated with an antimicrobial silver chloride chemical agent by pad-dry-cure method. The pressures were measured by using wireless pressure sensors before and after the treatment. The performance of burn pressure garments were tested in terms of elastane percentage in order to evaluate the pressures exerted by these garments after silver antimicrobial treatment. Cause the pressures should remain constant during rehabilitation. The pressures were taken by using wireless sensors. Predictable results were found after the antimicrobial treatment.
