Abstract
The throne and iconostasis of the church were probably created in 1794, and were newly restored in 1967-68. Previous restoration (1903) had darkened and obscured the icons and sculpture. Wood was treated with xyloline against the wormholing, and then repaired. The icons were cleaned of lacquer and the repaint of 1903. Dismantling of the iconostasis had revealed frescoes which were previously unknown, and from before 1794. The iconostasis was moved to a slightly different position to keep the frescoes in view. -- AATA
