Abstract
During repairs undertaken in the so-called Red Room in the Ehrenburg to Coburg in the summer of 1977, magnificent frescoes were unexpectedly discovered on the ceiling. These frescoes depicting mythological and allegorical scenes were then cleared and restored. They are another document of the cultural revival at the court of Duke Albert at Coburg (16801699). -- AATA
