Describes the danger to the monument from visitor-erosion, the inappropriate design and placing of the carpark and ticket booth, and the traffic noise and bustle which inhibits appreciation of the monument and its natural setting. Various proposals for improvement have been canvassed, and even closure of the monument foreshadowed; a working party is currently looking at proposals. -- AATA
