Abstract
An apparatus that imposes a known humidity gradient across a fibrous barrier is described. The instrument simultaneously monitors the amount of moisture sorbed by the barrier and the moisture flux across the barrier. Results for typical textile fabrics with different affinities for water are discussed. -- AATA
