This article concerns a systematic study of the phenomenon of diffusion between solids. It was investigated whether or not one can stabilize the diffusion in the case of the formation of solid solutions by means of observation of changes in the physical properties. In many cases certain physical properties of the solid solutions are very much different from those that one would have normally observe as the independent properties of the components.
