Abstract
An approach to the adaptation of modern materials for the consolidation of wood, brick, plaster, and other porous materials is the polymerization of acrylic monomers in solution. It promises to be a feasible way of depositing controlled amounts of polymer at great depths, uniformly lining the pores. Since the pores remain open, the process is reversible. Materials and testing are described.
