The main purpose of the project Spanish Restorers’ Historical Archive is the recovery of ‘historical memory’ of both restaurateurs and interventions in the Spanish Artistic Historical Heritage. The creation of the archive is raised not only as an essential tool for the Restoration’s History, but also for the knowledge of the historical future of the artworks. Undoubtedly, the development of this work will contribute to the study, recovery, preservation and dissemination of the historical and artistic Spanish heritage, in a time when the restoration takes a bigger importance due to social demand on intervention in cultural goods. In this regard, the application of new technologies for the treatment and dump on information is a priority objective in this investigation. In short, the need for a multidisciplinary framework for their achievement makes the proposed team is made up of restaurateurs, art historians, chemists, computer specialists and anthropologists with the aim of integrating different perspectives and print an interdisciplinary nature to the project.
