This article presents the research carried out about alternative materials to the traditional calcium caseinate, used in the consolidation of torn wall paintings reverse. Not all the works obtained under strappo technique, calcium caseinate gets a good consolidation of the pictorial film by the backside, especially in dry techniques or soft distempers, hence the need for introducing other kinds of materials, such as epoxy resins. Some test tubes have been developed made with different techniques of mural, which have been torn and treated by the back side with a variety of epoxy resins, mixed with various loads. In order to determine the degree of consolidation exerted in the pictorial layers, samples that have been analyzed by optical microscopy and electronic microscopy have been extracted, obtaining satisfactory results.
