Abstract
The paper studied the species of wool and weaving method in some woolen textiles from Zagunluke and Shanpula tombs that were made during Western Zhou and Eastern Han eras. Wool fibers were analyzed and species of wool was identified by examining the waving method, fiber shape, type, and diameter by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). These studies indicated that most of the wool textiles from Zagunluke and Shanpula tombs were made from the wool of Xinjiang sheep.
