The warm air piping burst in the China Ethnic Library caused a large number of precious cultural documents soaked by hot water or fumed by steam. To rescue these cultural heritages before the weather became warm, different methods of saving water-soaked books have been systematically used, especially the low-temperature drying technique commonly employed in conservation science. After 3-month effort, all the water-soaked documents have been restored. This experience provided some bases for future similar conservation work.
