Described is a new fiber-based black and white enlarging paper by Ilford. The paper, Ilfobrom Galerie, obtains maximum permanence by use of a new fixing procedure which involves 30-second immersion in a concentrated nonhardening ammonium fixer and 10 minutes in a new Ilford Washing Aid Bath, with 5-minute running-water washes before and after this final special bath. The result is said to be a reduction to about 25% of the chemical residuals found after normal washing for an hour. -- AATA
