The particle size and distribution of epoxy and polyamide latices have been determined by electron microscopy and found to be in the range of 20-200 nm and 20-30 nm respectively. Surface replica, staining and SEM techniques showed that the phenomenon of further gradual coalescence occurred in films from stoichiometric mixtures of the two latices over a period of 15 days. Addition of components accelerating the epoxy/amine reaction hindered this coalescence. -- AATA
