Abstract
The article describes thetreatment of paintings on copper supports, in which the flaking was caused by corrosive compounds. Benzotriazole is discussed as an inhibitor for copper corrosion. Various consolidants are examined. Synthetic glues with a neutral pH, e.g. Paraloid B 72, and Incralac, are generally recommended. -- AATA
