Abstract
This paper describes the method of lighting control adopted for the public exhibition of the mural paintings in Fahai Temple, Beijing. In particular, the method by which ultraviolet radiation was filtered using fluorescent lamps fitted with an AC-1 type ultraviolet-absorbing film is described. In addition, this article gives a brief account of earlier methods designed to filter ultraviolet radiation, and relates these to the latest research of our institute, showing the properties of the AC-1 type film. -- AATA
