A report on experiments carried out at the National Szecheny Library (Hungary) for the repair of parchment leaves, using hand-casting to replace parts weakened by biological attack. The pulp used for casting contains parchment fibres and other components (listed in Hungarian only). The mechanical strength of the completed leaves are being tested at the Boripari kutaointezetben (research institute of the leather industry). Photographs, references.
