Abstract
Examples are presented showing how acid hydrolysis and water sorption techniques have been used to distinguish different celluloses and to discern the effect of swelling treatments on a given type. The samples discussed are cotton cellulose and dissolving pulp-grade cellulose obtained from wood and rice straw. -- AATA
