Abstract
Faule Magd , in the East German army museum, is one of a few remaining large-caliber guns of the early 15th century. Its wooden carriage was impregnated with methyl methylacrylate (mma); the treatment was complicated by the large size of the pieces and the extent of damage by insects and gungi. The process is described in detail. Photographs, references.
