The Early Gothic church of Kraskovo, Slovakia, was built in the 13th century, and decorated with wall paintings of the 14th-15th centuries. In the 16th century, the church was taken over by the Protestants, who covered the paintings with a lime coating. The first restoration of the pictures was started by I. Gróh in 1906. Modern restoration of the paintings was recently undertaken, and the results are presented here.
