The author maintains that the different training of museologists, restorers and natural scientists conditions their thinking: museologists and art historians approach the work of art verbally and ignore painting technique. Restorers are more concerned with technique, materials and the physical appearance of the work of art. Natural scientists are interested only in examination and research. These differences impede cooperation.
