A double flask splitted and heavily spoilt by insects was restored by the author. Strengthening of the objects was performed in a vacuum chamber, with 10per thousand PVB (poly-vinyl-butyral) diluted in acetone. For completion of the object, two types of material were used, considering the static and esthetic necessities. The supporting surface as well as the medial plug were completed by Duracrol (a two-component dentist's self-binding acrylic matter), while the faults of the carved surface were substituted by using liquid wood, applied in layers, and carved after solidification. (The liquid wood is on a nitrocellulose base, a Hungarian product.) The mouthpiece lost was prepared from steamed beech-wood. After placing the mouthpiece to its place, the two half flasks were sticked together with Duracroll. For the colouring, Sudan paint mixed with bee wax was used.
