For EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) shield and reflection, we developed flexible clothes composed of flexible copper wire and some other fibers, and measured their electro-magnetic shield and reflectance performances. Test results were as follows: Regarding electro-magnetic shield, their test values were more than 30 dB in frequency range of 30 to 1000 MHz. On the other hand, the value of electro-magnetic reflectance loss were found to be less than 0.3 dB, in other words, the electro-magnetic reflectance rate were more than 97per thousand at frequency of 11.85 GHz. In the course of the development, we found that this material (we called Shieldcloth ) was possible to combine easily with paper, FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics), plywood and likes, and that those electro-magnetic performance were relatively stable. From these results, we had confidence that the Shieldcloth was an effective material for electro-magnetic shield and reflection.
