Abstract
KOCERAN-C is a kind of thin and high-strength ceramic paper which consists mainly of alumina silica fiber, partially some specific inorganic and less partially some organic binders. Although the alumina silica fiber usually contains a lot of shots, non-fibrous substances, the process of completely removing them was successfully developed. Here are given some outstanding features of the KOCERAN-C: 1)non-flammable and heat-resistant (up to 1, 000°C), 2) remarkably strong even after calcination, 3) thin and highly flexible, but high in tensile strength, 4) porous, 5) radiating efficiently far infrared rays, 6) having highly converting properties, i.e., saturation, coating, printing, laminating and bending. Various applications based on those merits are further being researched and developed.
