Abstract
3H-borohydride reduction of hydrolyzates of irradiated wool in the absence of ammonia gave a number of radiolabelled amino acides, while 3H-borohydride reduction of the irradiated wool before hydrolysis gave several others. Some of these amino acids have now been identified, and are described. The influence of water and the presence of fluorescent whitening agents on the rate of production of carbonyl groups during irradiation of wool is also discussed. -- AATA
