Abstract
Baláca, the ancient manor of Roman Pannonia, is getting more and more famous for its mural paintings and mosaics. The author gives a short survey of the research devoted to the site since the beginning of the century as well as the restoration and conservation of more recent finds. The murals were opened for the public in 1984.
