This paper describes a method based on compounding the sample powder with pure graphite. It has been successfully applied to the quantitative analysis of a variety of samples including powdered rocks of geological interest, aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide, thorium dioxide, magnesium oxide, bauxite, sodium azide, cadmium sulphide, and others.
