Abstract
The natural resistance of the timber of 22 tree species to the termite <i>Coptotermes formosanus</i> was determined in laboratory tests in Guangdong Province, China. The results showed that the most resistant species were <i>Madhuca hainanensis, Litchi chinensis, Vatica astrotricha, Tectona grandis, Robinia pseudacacia, Alseodaphne hainanensis, Homalium hainanense and Hopea hainanensis.</i> -- AATA
