Abstract
On the occasion of the Huszár exhibition in the Hague (Gemeentemuseum 9. 3.1984/19.5.1985) and Budapest (Magyar Nemzeti Galéria) in 1985 research was done on five paintings. The identification of pigments by microscopy, laser-microprobe analysis, and x-ray diffraction led to the establishment of data post quem . The art historians divide the life of Huszár in three artistic periods: the start of the Stijl (1917-1922), the middle of the twenties (1923-1928) and his last thirty years (1929-1960), in which he painted in the way of Bart van der Leck. Some of the paintings were dated according to the results of the pigment analyses. -- AATA
