Abstract
On the Cycladic island of Siphnos ore mines which were worked in prehistory and antiquity have been studied. In a series of marbles and metamorphic rocks with silver-bearing ores, first of all a lead-zinc mineralization occurs, connected with secondary ores in the upper zones. Chemical analyses of the ores and lead isotopes data of the lead ores, the slags, and lead oxides are given. -- AATA
