Corrosion of unrestored iron objects can be reduced when they are covered by muslin to keep dust away. Further it is advised to treat them by spraying with a commercial anticorrosive product, a mixture of mineral oils, detergents, corrosion inhibitors, and molybdenium sulfide. For iron objects exposed outdoors a prescription for an anticorrosive impregnation is given.
