The General Industry Standards of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration requires that employers must provide gloves for all persons required to handle wet work with a liquid other than water. Gloves are made by either of two processes: laytex dipping solvent, or cement-dipped process. Solvent penetration, criteria for selection of gloves, types of glove material, and sources for gloves and glove charts are presented.
