Describes two programs: a quasi-database manager for surface survey data and an application in computer graphics. These projects have been anticipated in part by others in this journal. Johnson (1984) reports on a database manager suited to the exigencies of the archaeological endeavor and based around a microcomputer. While Johnson was putting the finishing touches on his DBMS system, the authors were involved in attempting to solve the same sorts of problems with their own database manager. Green and Stewart (1983) and others (Upham 1979; Croes and David, 1977) have reported on computer graphics applications in archaeology. The authors have developed routines for displaying three-dimensional convergent perspectives as a single image or in stereo pairs on screen, plotter, or printer (Davis 1984b). The applications reported here were developed on a distributed data processing system designed around the IBM-PC. The current configuration has been operational for about one year. The computers have been in constant use for both contract and research oriented projects in archaeology and Quaternary studies. -- AATA
