Abstract
A calendar made of paper on wood with movable parts was damaged on its decorated surface. Old varnishes were removed by means of butylamine and by a mixture of ethanol and methylchloride. The paper was cleaned with Chloramine T followed by a bath of sodiumthiosulfate. Methylcellulose was used to strengthen the paper after this treatment.
