Abstract
The need for collaboration between ethnological museums in developed and developing countries is stressed. When money is spent on development projects information on cultural materials very often is left out and natural traditional techniques are forgotten. There is need for collaboration, e.g. Through the icom ethnographical materials working group, in the fields of museum planning, education of conservation staff, information and practical solutions, especially low-cost ones.
