Abstract
For the times when a conservator's work space becomes inadequate but additional space cannot be provided, a new design of compact bench has been constructed and tested for 10 years on a wide variety of tasks. Intended for the innovative, the design provides safe passage for objects and workers, storage for small tools, and temporarily for collection objects, convenient water, air, vacuum, and electricity, removal of solvent vapors, and space for writing reports. Six components are described and illustrated. Supplementary facilities and some limitations of the module are described.
