Abstract
The author reviews different ways in which museum fabrics were conserved, depending upon their condition. She cites the conservation of a flag by impregnation with a 1% solution of polyvinyl butyral and application of a new silk lining. Another fabric, old and torn with oil paintings on it, was treated with a polyvinyl alcohol solution and then lined with silk voile. Photographs.
