First century B.C. pottery production patterns has been studied in a geographical micro-region of the Upper Duero valley right bank. The research is mainly based on the application of a local production model in the Celtiberian archaeological site of Izana. Model has been generated from a perspective that it tries to integrate the archaeometric techniques of characterization in archaeological approaches used in order to explain pottery production within the domain of their socio-economic and cultural importance. This issue has enabled us to infer a highly specialized mode and sequence of production together with the possibility to locate a production center in Izana's site related with the romanization process of this area.
