An archaeological excavation in Prague uncovered a fragment of a medieval textile worn by Saint Ludmila. The garment was white linen with red embroidery around the collar; it was considered to be a liturgical garment. Archaeologists used the width of the garment to determine the size and use as an outer garment. The garment was considered to be handmade because of the unevenness of the stitching. The fragment is now part of an important Czechoslovak collection.
