Abstract
Some tests have been carried out using resistivity profiles and seismic fan-shooting in a sample area in the Sabine Necropolis of Colle del Forno, Montelibretti, Rome, where subsurface anomalous bodies are located. New methods for processing and interpretation that reduce superficial noise, thus revealing more faithfully those anomalies caused by cavities and buried bodies, are reported for the geoelectric method. Furthermore, seismic methods were considered in the attempt to detect superficial cavities by using both longitudinal and transverse waves.
