Characteristics of <i>Irvingia malayana</i> are reviewed with reference to Peninsular Malaysia. The wood (air-dry density 930-1250 kg/m<sup>3</sup>) is difficult to work, moderately durable, susceptible to termites and of average treatability with creosote. -- AATA
