A basic survey on electrophotography is presented using different Kodak photocopiers as examples. The advantages of various photocopier types are discussed with particular emphasis on aspects important to archival photocopying, e.g., contrast improvement, eliminating yellow background, and image reproduction quality. The survey closes with a report on future developments in the field of document duplication and data storage.
