Abstract
Silicone rubber molds record surface texture, and this can be used in microscopic analyses of metal artifacts from antiquity. Use of an Anglepoise lamp, a 10x binocular microscope, a scanning electron microscope, and a light-section microscope and camera to interpret the information is explained. See also AATA 21-490.
