Abstract
A system is described by which small amounts of the most common metals can be identified on very small areas, as for example in the investigation of corrosion. The procedure depends essentially on the electrochemical dissolution of the metals and their subsequent identification by specific color reactions. The metals included are aluminum, beryllium, chromium, iron, cadmium, magnesium, nickel silver, silicon, zinc and tin. -- AATA
