A painted Northwest Coast Indian cedar mat of woven, split cedar root was relined onto a support of brown voile fabric using a non-woven, polyamide thermoplastic web as the adhesive. The condition before treatment, reasons for the choice of methods, the method of cleaning and removal of old lining and final results are discussed in detail. -- AATA
