Abstract
The purpose of the study described was to develop laboratory tests for evaluating the effectiveness of stone consolidants, so that consolidants could be screened prior to field use. The tests evaluate penetration and consolidation abilities, effects on appearance, temperature resistance to acid precipitation. -- ICCROM
